A wolf of four years, but Teh’leas often seems more like a puppy in his mindset. The first years of his life are just a blur in his mind, bits and pieces of being cast out of packs, of never being quite sure how he ended up where he did, of violent scenes that make him shy away from trying to remember just what it is that happened to him. The truth? He was possessed. The evil spirit used him to do as he pleased, letting him have control of his own body only when it was convenient to him -- to take advantage of the baffled and cub-like demeanor to get himself out of trouble, or simply to be amused by leaving him to fend for himself in a bad situation.
It wasn’t a strong will or any accomplishment of his own that gave him his life back. The spirit’s deeds finally caught up to him when he took advantage of the wrong wolf, a shifter who took him down with an arrow and left him to die. The spirit fled the dying body to seek chaos elsewhere. After all, what good was a dead body to him? He was far above shambling about as a zombie. Only Teh didn’t die. A boy exploring in the woods stumbled across him, and saved his life. Not even knowing how to take care of himself, he readily latched onto the boy, who provided him with food, shelter, and a sense of safety and belonging he’d never before known.
Unfortunately, his comfortable life as a pet wasn’t to last. The boy fell ill, and the nurses chased him out of the room every time he managed to dart inside. In time, he was forced to roam to scavenge for food on the streets. One such time, he returned to find they had moved the boy. Loyal and knowing no other life, he tried hard to find him, but it wasn’t to be.
Now Teh’leas finds himself alone with little knowledge on how to take care of himself. What little memories he has of his past have left him terrified of his own kind, so rather than seek the safety of a pack he alternates between roaming the streets stealing food like a street dog and clumsy attempts to hunt in the nearby forests.
